L’Beauté Homme Your new movie ‘Sidelined: The QB and Me’ is the chick flick we all needed. Can you tell us how it came about?
Noah Beck Yeah, I’m glad you think that. The truth is, I have a very sensitive side, and I grew up with two older sisters, so they always made me watch their romantic movies on TV, and I actually liked them. I think that genre always brings a smile, and we need more of that, especially in the world today.

I’ve always been pretty comfortable in front of the camera, and I thought, “why not do something bigger?” At first, it was super naive of me, but on the other hand, I feel like you always need a bit of delusion to dream big and take a leap.
LBH How did this leap into acting happen? Is it something you always knew you wanted to try?
NB When I got to Los Angeles to do some social media stuff, I realized there were many more opportunities than I had imagined, and I wanted to explore something more long-term. I’ve always been pretty comfortable in front of the camera, and I thought, “why not do something bigger?” At first, it was super naive of me, but on the other hand, I feel like you always need a bit of delusion to dream big and take a leap. I had no acting experience; I grew up as an athlete, and my family is made up of educators, which made me a very curious person who loves to learn new things. That has been useful in the process of acting.

The Video
LBH Social media has been an amazing springboard for you, but what would you say are its downsides?
NB Without a doubt social media opened many doors for me, but it does have a delicate side. At first, when you start seeing your followers and views rise so quickly, and people react to each video even more than the last, it’s super exciting, but then, there’s a day when you plateau, or a video that doesn’t do well, and you start questioning yourself. If you obsess over the numbers, it can even affect your mental health; it becomes addictive and really confuses you. That’s why I focus on being authentic and post what I truly enjoy. I’ve tried to never pigeonhole myself into just one theme and only post what makes me happy, and I think that’s key. If you’re authentic in what you post and it resonates with you, there will always be people who want to see it, as long as you’re consistent and don’t let the numbers control you.

LBH Speaking of pressure, both you and your character, Drayton, face a lot of expectations. How do you handle pressure in real life?
NB Sure, pressure is part of this industry, and for me, it’s something that brings out the best in me, but you do have to be aware when it becomes too much and starts affecting you. My dad was always tough on me with sports, so I was used to having high standards. I have a clear list of things and people who help me stay grounded, like my family and friends, who are essential for keeping my feet on the ground. Other things I do are listening to a podcast, taking a walk, trying a new coffee place, or calling a friend. Every day, I try to do at least one of those simple little things that help keep me calm.

LBH Surely your fan base wants to know all about your personal care and exercise routines. What secrets can you share with us?
NB Of course! I like to work out every day; I try to go to the gym five or six times a week, and I mix it up with things like pilates, yoga, or walks. It makes me feel good and helps me stay focused. As for skincare, I like to keep it simple but consistent. I also pay attention to my diet and drink a lot of water; I think a balanced diet helps more than anything else. Another thing I consider personal care is tidiness; I feel that an organized environment also clears the mind. And of course, soccer, even though I no longer play professionally, it’s still my first love. When I’m in Los Angeles, I play in local leagues or with friends. I follow the matches and wake up early to watch the important games; I’ll never stop loving soccer.

LBH Now that you’re an ambassador for Tommy Hilfiger, can you share your first memories of the brand?
NB Tommy has always been a part of my life. I remember stealing vintage clothing from my dad when I was a kid; denim, polos, and they were huge on me, but I loved wearing them. Now, working with them has been amazing—it feels like family. Their classic and timeless style fits perfectly with me and the evolution of my personal style. Plus, there’s a bit of nostalgia, from my childhood and because my dad has always worn it too, so we have a long history with the brand.
LBH Tommy Hilfiger is known for its polished, classic American style. How do you incorporate the brand into your wardrobe, and what are your favorite pieces?
NB Yeah, I’ve gone through all the phases, but at one point in high school, I decided I was going to dress very classic and preppy, and I loved it. I felt very much myself, with a very elevated and polished look. Tommy definitely played a part in shaping my personal style. These days, not a day goes by without me wearing something from Tommy; whether it’s loafers, a sweater, a polo, or some denim piece.

LBH Finally, what advice would you give to young people who are looking to build a career on social media?
NB Being authentic is the most important thing. People today want to see something real, someone they can connect with. The truth is, pretending to be someone else isn’t sustainable and can even make you lose your identity. Like I said, I post what I like, what reflects who I am, and that will always resonate with someone. Also, I believe that varied and real content creates a genuine connection. So, in a nutshell: authenticity and consistency.
